The second group of new Essential Oils have arrived at the warehouse and we’re excited to share these with you.
Though we have always stocked several premium oils, we are expanding the range and listing these separately. You will notice there is a new section on the website listing our Premium Essential Oils – so though they will be listed in the regular section for completeness, you can check out the Premiums in their own section.
The previous release included purifying Essential Oils, and several of the second release are thought of as cleansing, they are also fresh and citrussy! These are perfect for skin care and also for burner blends and spiritual work.
Star Anise Pure Essential Oil (Illicium Verum)
Our Star Anise Pure Essential Oil has a warm and spicy, Liquorice like aroma similar to “Aniseed”, which is powerful and sweet. It’s perfect for blending and really sticks in Cold Process Soap, whether as part of a blend or for its own scent.
Our Anise Oil is distilled from the dried fruit and seeds and is a medium/top note.Bergamot Premium, Pure Essential Oil (Citrus bergamia)
Our Calabrian Premium grade Pure Bergamot Essential Oil has all the properties of our regular oil, but offers a smoother, finer and rounder aroma. It is gorgeously fresh and uplifting, juicy and cooling, and it lifts the spirit.
Bergamot has a lovely light, fresh, floral citrus scent. Its bright character is often used as an aid for fatigue, anxiety and depression by Aromatherapists.
New Zealand Lavender Pure Essential Oil (Lavandula angustifolia x latifola)
This is our “Baby Lavender”! It has lower linalool and acetate levels than other Lavender varieties, making it ideal for using in products for younger children, the elderly and those with more sensitive systems. This New Zealand Lavender Pure Essential Oil has a fresh, floral, smoothly herbaceous scent with rounded top notes that have lightly green undertones.
Lavender is one of the most popular Essential Oils and one of the most well known for good reason. Historically used in perfumes and aromatherapy, it is renowned for its calming and balancing effects on the mind and body. Lavender is a staple in the soap room.
Lavender is a middle to top note, and is used as a bridge when blending for aromatherapy. This oil is steam distilled from the flowers and buds.
Lavender 40/42 Commercial Essential Oil (Lavandula angustifolia)
This lovely new Lavender 40/42 Essential Oil smells amazing! It is a high grade commercial 40/42 which was chosen for its aroma – which is a full, rounded, smooth lavender. If in doubt grab a 10ml and see if you agree! It has a high specification for Linalool and Linalyl acetate which helps to give it its soothing and calming properties.

Lemon, Premium Pure Essential Oil (Citrus Limonum)
Our Premium Lemon Pure Essential Oil has a bright and clean, fresh and zesty aroma. As with regular lemon it is great for scrubs and shampoos, and citrus blends and many skin care applications too! In your oil burner, Lemon Essential Oil is always an excellent choice!
Ylang Ylang Complete Pure Essential Oil
Our Ylang Ylang Complete Pure Essential Oil has a complex aroma that is powerful, sweetly tropical, spicy, and fruity/floral with a green, woody undertone. A little Ylang Ylang Complete goes a long way in a blend, so increase the drops slowly and allow the aromas to combine over a few days before deciding if you need to increase.
Tisserand suggests combining this exotic, sultry Essential Oil with Clary Sage for an ‘euphoric bath experience’, that is still deeply relaxing.
NB: “Complete” Ylang Ylang is the essential oil obtained from a complete, uninterrupted or continuous distillation. First, Second and Third are fractional distillates that are separated by distillation time and/or density during the process. Third is excellent in Cold Process Soap, and the Complete is the preferred grade for Aromatherapy use.
We recommend the use of an Encyclopaedia of Essential Oils to reference the therapeutic benefits of Pure Essential Oils and to learn about using them safely. There are referenced authors listed on our Essential Oil Listings.
